Subcontractor Tender List in Draft
Other platforms allow the subcontractor tender list to be selected and saved in draft. This allows the estimator to prepare the tender list for review by the wider team prior to issuing packages.
13 votesHi Nicholas, thanks for your feedback. This is something that is currently on our radar. For the time being, we recommend creating a List on EstimateOne of the subcontractors for your team to review.

Show how many quotes received from the subcontractor when inviting
When selecting subcontractor to invite to quote, we can only see their response rate, but not the quote number we received from them.
Can you make it shows how many quotes received from that subcontractor as well?
We can make it display "0 (100%)" for 0 quote and 100% response rate (who selected NQ) instead of just showing "100%". Or "1, 0, 100%" for 1 invitation, 0 quote, 100% respond rate.
Therefore it's much clearer for builders to decide who to choose between "1, 0, 100%" (bad) and "50, 40, 80%" (good).
Currently, we can only see "100%" (good) and…

Add the ability to add the address when adding new contacts to tender
The ability to add the autodetect address when adding subbies to contact list via "Add Contact to Tender" from the "Invites & Responses" window.
Without this feature we will need to go back to the address book to add the address for every subbie that is added to tender.10 votes -
Show recent activity to suggest inactivity with a subcontractor
To implement an 'Online yesterday' or 'Online 95 days ago' to signify inactivity so we are able to archive and clean out our databases confidently without second guessing their activity.

Tender Responses "Revised" and "Rates" Option
For the Tenders and Responses Page it would be good to be able to update a subcontractors status from "Quoted" to "Revised" for when they send in an updated quote.
Additionally it would be good to have to option to mark a subcontractor as having submitted and be marked of as "rates" for when they just send a generic list of rates as this isnt technically a "quote"
10 votesHi Jess, thanks for the feedback. This is something that will be looked into as part of a bigger piece of work we are currently undertaking.

when i change a due date in the project detail screen , it should send an email to all saying the date has changed
when i change a due date in the project detail screen , it should send an email to all saying the date has changed
9 votesThanks for your suggestion. We really try and limit the number of automated responses we issue your subcontractors so as they do not get overladed. However, there could be a way of us helping you manage this better.

Not delivering to previously bounced address
When a tender request email is bounced back due to a temporary error, the system stops sending emails permanently and displays this error message instead.
The no delivery error could accumulate to hundreds until the team has some spare time to sort it out. It's also annoying to call people to ask about the email errors if this email is still working well.
Could we change the email delivery system to sending emails regardless? Therefore an error message will be a genuine error rather than "not delivering to previously bounced address due to a TEMPORARY error".8 votes -
Create an App
Ensure App is free & included as apart of joining estimate one
Keep it simple:
Allow for Notification system -
subcontractors notified when new tender requests, correspondence & notification of changes.
Allow for simple response for tender requests - Quoting or Decline.
When opening correspondence mark as read for head contractor to see as apart of audit trail.
Provide Reminders - 24 hours prior to quote is due if selected quoting
Don't go to extent of being able to download or view docs in app -makes app complicating and could cause app to be unstable due to size of documents…8 votes -
'Maybe Quoting'
Add a category to the Invites & Responses page called 'Maybe Quoting'. This will greatly assist senior management to call prospective sub-contractors and convince them to quote the project.
8 votesHi Michael,
We appreciate a tentative quoting option / “maybe” quoting would definitely be valuable in the procurement process. We are planning on reviewing the response statuses available, so we will take your suggestion into consideration. Thank you! -

change contact after docs have been issued
Allow us to change the contact for the tender without having to send another invitation so the right person gets updates.

Show more info on the main Address Book page
Currently the main list on the Address Book when you search shows Company Name, Contact, Email and Phone numbers. Can you add a column or two that will show 1) if there are notes on that subbie and 2) if there's a file attached.

EstimateOne Standard trades
Please give us ability to add in additional mapping trades. Engineering services, soil testing, asbestos testing, are typically "consultants" during preliminary stages of projects.
I would like to avoid any mix up of our structural and civil engineers with steel fabricators and drainage companies alike, per se.5 votes -

Status Column colours ..... there are 3 different greens .... really are there no other colours in the spectrum ? ... how about blue, purple, orange ....come on you guys can do better. At a glance it is quite confusing.

If a subbie has closed business- allow an inactive button, which allows you to see their previous involvement without deleting them.
If a sub-contractor has stopped tendering, an inactive button will allow you to see what they've priced without deleting them permanently.
5 votesHi Valentina,
Really good idea! We are committed to improving the functionality of the Address Book and we will continue to investigate and work out the best ways to do it. This is something we will definitely dive deeper into. For the moment as a work around, I would recommend you remove their email address’ (preventing them from displaying at the invitation step), or adding them to an insolvent / out of business list as a way of keeping on top of them. -
***** Trades in Document Matrix
When in Document Matrix, it would be good to have the Trades names slanted so they could be more easily read.

Include the Date and Creator of a Note when exporting Notes to Excel.
At the moment we are having to manually input this information. As a number of our staff could be adding notes to a particular project at various times, it would be helpful to automatically include it.
4 votesThanks for your suggestion! We can definitely understand why date/creator information would be important. We are happy to take this onboard as a consideration for future improvements.

allow Builders to include "terms and conditions" of tender that Subcontractors must agree before they can access documents
For sensitive projects such as defence or government works we often require Subcontractors to agree to some conditions of the tender. This is usually a document the Subcontractor signs and returns to us. It would be good if we could enter the conditions of tender straight into EstimateOne and have Subcontractors agree to these conditions (by ticking a box) before they can access documentation
4 votesThank you for this suggestion! It definitely makes sense, it’s something we will look into.
If it helps, the best way to do this at the moment would be inviting your subbies to a seperate tender and issuing them the required contract. When they sign and return, you can create a new tender issuing the documentation to the compliant subcontractors. -
Allow me to Export a "Document Register" that shows all of the documents added to a Subcontractors pacakage
When signing up a Subcontractor to a project I am required to generate a register of every document that they were sent and when it was made available to them. This is then included as part of their contract.
This register should include all documents the Subcontractor was sent throughout the tender period along with when each document was updated.
When I export the Document Register it shows all documents added to the project and when they were added but this is not specific to the package the Subcontractor was sent.
"Transmittals" sent to the Subcontractor do not give us…
4 votesThanks for your suggestion. A subcontractor focused Document Register is something we have heard from a couple of different builders over time. It is definitely worth investigating further, and we will keep it in mind as we look to make further improvements to documentation management on EstimateOne.
